And Be Held.

Two distinct connotations yet so tied this season.
Right after Christmas last year, lo and behold,
a new little guy was added to our family ,
my first grandson, F.J.
Talk about Tidings of Great Joy….
And Be Held?… I am not sure who is holding whom
or who is more enveloped by this request
– spoken or unspoken – him or me.
All I know is that the rush of warmth and pleasure
that holding him brings
is insatiable.
What a time of year to rekindle that awe in the love of
A Child and a child…
I guess I made The Good List after all…
