About “Comma”
When Julie passed eight years ago, I was pretty low. Among the many kind things people said to me, someone advised me, “Never put a period where God puts a comma.” It quietly resonated with me then and does so more and more every day. Painting – and Bermuda – have been a large part of what follow that comma for me.
Once, in Bermuda with my daughter after my wife had passed, a single perfect red hibiscus flower appeared out of nowhere, floating up to us adjacent to the raft on which we were floating. We looked at each other and smiled silently and knowingly…
Put those stories together and you get the title – “Comma”.
