About Consolation

This original will be donated to the school to be auctioned off in the Fall of 2009. If there is enough interest in prints, I will produce a limited edition. Please contact me if interested.

“Consolation” is the third in a series of watercolors I have done of the campus of Loyola Blakefield and depicts St.Ignatius in a reverie of prayer. In every season, the bronze statue transfixes a visitor to its grove. Last year my painting was the Fall; this year, the Spring. The surface of the metal reflects both the sky and the greens while the flowers encircle the sculpture with the radiant colors of Springtime.
