We had just sat down for lunch at Breezes in Cambridge Beaches, Bermuda but the table next to us was waiting also… for us to order. This watercolor plays with both depth of field and the contrast of the warm sunlight outside the pavilion versus the shade under cover. It also invited a great deal of detail as the silverware, plate and, in particular, the glass water goblet became inset paintings in themselves.
