The view between Easterly Upper and Lower is one I have painted several times, watching the confectionary colors of the walls light up the surface of the white roof. Two different palettes between the intense blues, purples and greens of the water and the lava-like flow of the limestone roof. I used an x-acto blade to scrape off the paint for the fine sail lines of the boats.
