In recent years, I’ve spent New Year’s Eve painting. It just always seemed like a good way to bring it all in, constructive, safe and allowing for just enough nostalgia. 2020 was no exception. Although the walls and palms and birds are ones I’ve painted numerous times before and with which I have become well acquainted, I keep returning to those memories in Bermuda. So, “Old Acquaintance” was titled even as I completed its final days…albeit in a new year.
