The lawn right outside the Port O’ Call with its grindstones laid by Teddy Tucker has always been one of my two favorite spots both to visit as well as to paint. It is peaceful, quiet and heavenly, part shade and part sun. As I explored the photo that inspired this painting, I found a single chair, unoccupied, right at the entrance. Thus, the title: “St. Peter’s Lunch Break”.
